China's Artificial Intelligence Industry Will Reach 170 Billion Dollars by 2025.

The AI Sector in China is Growing Rapidly

According to Xinhua, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, shared its latest industry report at an industrial forum in Beijing.

2024 and 2025 Forecasts

The report predicts that the total value of the core industry operating in the field of artificial intelligence will exceed 900 billion yuan (approximately 127.5 billion dollars) in 2024, and this figure is expected to exceed 1.2 trillion yuan (approximately 170 billion dollars) by 2025.

Artificial Intelligence Capabilities and Applications

By 2023, a 30% increase was observed in the language capabilities of large artificial intelligence models and a 50% increase in multimodal understanding abilities. This indicates that artificial intelligence has become a productive force that will yield real-world results beyond technical innovations.

Integration of Manufacturing and Robotics

According to the report, since the beginning of the year, large language models have started to be effectively utilized in the manufacturing sector. The share of AI application scenarios in the manufacturing field has risen from 19.9% to 25.9%. Additionally, rapid growth has been observed in the integrated AI sector, which combines AI with robotics.

Funding and Company Activities

It is projected that over 350 companies operating in this field will receive 40 billion yuan (approximately 5.6 billion dollars) in funding by 2025. This highlights the growth potential and investment appeal of the sector.
