


The Bahçeşehir University Center for Economic and Social Research (BETAM) announced the report titled "The Decrease in Inflation Expectations Continues", prepared by Dr. Gökhan Şahin Güneş, on Household Inflation Expectations: December 2025.
According to the report's results, the inflation expectation of households for one year later in December 2025 has decreased by 5.8 points compared to the previous survey period, dropping to %51.9.
The proportion of participants who expect the inflation rate within the next year to be %31.1 lower than the current inflation rate has increased by 6.8 points compared to the previous month, reaching %33.3. A large portion of participants expects the inflation rate to be in the %21-40 range.
According to the December 2025 data, inflation expectations also vary by gender. The inflation expectation among men has decreased by 7.1 points compared to the previous month, falling to %49.3, while among women, it has decreased by 3.9 points, reaching %55.8.
When looking at age groups, the 55-64 years group has seen an increase of 1.4 points in inflation expectations, while declines have been observed in other age groups.
