Turkey’s leading cargo company Aras Kargo has acquired the remaining 25% share of the Azerbaijan-based logistics firm Starex Global (Starex), gaining complete ownership of the company. This significant step allows Aras Kargo to establish a stronger and more permanent presence in the CIS market. The company is focusing on increasing its international cargo shipping activities under the name Aras Global while aiming to enhance its corporate and technological infrastructure in Azerbaijan.
With this development, Starex Global will continue its operations under the commercial title of Aras Global. The international management board will continue to consist of managers from Austria, Turkey, and Azerbaijan. Aras Kargo's International Affairs and Business Development Director Ramazan Altınay has been appointed as the General Manager of Aras Global in addition to his current role, ensuring continuity in management in the region. Operations in Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Uzbekistan will continue under local brands.
Aras Kargo aims to enhance its influence in the region with its Azerbaijan-based operations. Ramazan Altınay stated, “While reinforcing our strong position in the region, we are building an extensive cargo infrastructure extending from Turkey to Central Asia.” Aras Kargo will continue its growth strategies to achieve its 2030 goals and will expand into new markets.
Aras Kargo manages a comprehensive logistics network across Azerbaijan. Ramazan Altınay noted, “Our home delivery service has gained momentum. Previously, the branch delivery rate was 95%, which has dropped to 50%.” The company aims to further improve home delivery services to enhance customer experience.
