


The amount of cow milk collected across Turkey decreased by 4 percent to 863,651 tons in November 2025 compared to the same month last year.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the production data for milk and dairy products for the November 2025 period. According to the released data, the amount of cow milk collected by commercial milk enterprises decreased by 0.4 percent to 10,302,214 tons compared to the same period in 2024.
Drinking milk production also recorded a 6 percent decrease to 135,049 tons year-on-year in November 2025. However, in the January-November 2025 period, drinking milk production reached 1,500,112 tons, an increase of 4.7 percent.
In the same month, the yogurt production carried out by commercial milk enterprises increased by 6.2 percent to 108,457 tons. In the January-November 2025 period, this production reached 1,285,807 tons, an annual increase of 5.1 percent.
The production of cow cheese increased by 0.5 percent to 68,960 tons in November 2025, while in the January-November period, it saw a 1.5 percent increase to 764,640 tons. Meanwhile, the production of ayran and kefir increased by 8.4 percent to 85,298 tons, whereas butter and clarified butter production recorded a 11.5 percent decrease to 7,582 tons.
The data obtained in November 2025 once again highlighted the ongoing challenges in the agricultural sector in Turkey and the pressures on production.
