Xiaomi's net profit in the third quarter increased by 80%.

Xiaomi announced its third-quarter results for 2025. The company increased its revenue to 113.1 billion RMB, surpassing the 100 billion RMB threshold for the fourth consecutive time, while its adjusted net profit rose by 80.9% year-on-year to reach 11.3 billion RMB, the highest level in its history. The strong growth in the smart phone, smart EV, and AIoT ecosystems indicates that the company’s “Human × Car × Home” strategy is effectively being realized.

Strong Financial Performance

The revenue for the third quarter of 2025 rose to 113.1 billion RMB, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 22.3%. During the same period, adjusted net profit reached 11.3 billion RMB, achieving record profitability. Total revenue for the first nine months of the year reached 340.4 billion RMB, nearing last year's level, while the adjusted net profit of 32.8 billion RMB has already surpassed the total from the previous year.

Acceleration in the Human × Car × Home Ecosystem

Xiaomi’s segment consisting of smart electric vehicles (EV), artificial intelligence, and other new initiatives generated positive operating income for the first time in the company's history, marking a significant milestone. Segment revenues increased by over 199% year-on-year, reaching 29.0 billion RMB.

Smartphone and AIoT Performance

Smartphone revenues amounted to 46.0 billion RMB, with global shipments reaching 43.3 million units. With these results, Xiaomi has achieved year-on-year growth for nine consecutive quarters and has maintained its position among the top three in the global smartphone market for 21 quarters. The company’s smartphones rank in the top three in 57 countries and regions.

The IoT and lifestyle products segment generated 27.6 billion RMB in revenue, while the number of devices connected to Xiaomi’s AIoT platform surpassed 1 billion, marking a significant milestone.

Record in Internet Services

Revenue from internet services reached a record 9.4 billion RMB, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 10.8%. The global monthly active user count reached 741.7 million as of September 2025, showing an annual growth of 8.2%.

Global Product Shipments in Top Ranks

According to Omdia data:

  • Xiaomi tablets ranked among the top five in global shipments and placed in the top three in China.
  • In the wristband category, Xiaomi ranked first globally and second in China.
  • For TWS earphone shipments, Xiaomi ranked second globally and first in Mainland China.

Record Growth in R&D Investments

The company’s R&D expenditures rose to 9.1 billion RMB in the third quarter, marking a 52.1% year-on-year increase. In the first nine months, R&D expenses reached 23.5 billion RMB, with a total R&D investment for 2025 expected to exceed 30 billion RMB. As of September 30, 2025, the number of R&D employees reached an all-time high of 24,871.

New Steps in Artificial Intelligence and Smart Ecosystem

Xiaomi expanded its artificial intelligence strategy by introducing the open-source large audio model Xiaomi-MiMo-Audio in September. The Xiaomi Miloco, announced in November, set a new standard for smart home interaction supported by large model technology.
