


Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, in light of U.S. President Donald Trump's statements regarding his exit from the country, held his latest diplomatic meeting with a Chinese delegation.
According to local media reports, Maduro met with the Chinese delegation approximately 12 hours before the attacks that took place in Caracas. The meeting at the Miraflores Palace was chaired by China's special representative Qiu Xiaochi.
Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez, Foreign Minister Yvan Gil, and China's Ambassador to Caracas Lan Hu attended the discussion. During the meeting, over 600 bilateral agreements between Venezuela and China were reviewed, and cooperation in the areas of energy, trade, and infrastructure was assessed.
The meeting was the last official diplomatic contact before the attacks attributed to the U.S. that occurred across the country. Explosion sounds were heard in Caracas, and the Venezuelan government announced that it had held the U.S. responsible for the attacks, stating that Maduro had signed a decree declaring a state of emergency due to external interference.
Donald Trump reported that following the widespread attacks in Venezuela, Maduro and his wife had been captured and taken out of the country.
