According to international ship tracking data, two of the four vessels en route to Turkey's LNG terminals have departed from Algeria, one from the USA, and the other from Angola. These vessels are carrying a total of over 600 thousand cubic meters of LNG.
Berge Arzew and Lalla Fatma Nsoumer LNG vessels set sail from Arzew Port in Algeria on January 9. These vessels will make a significant contribution to meeting Turkey's energy needs. The Malanje LNG vessel departed from the USA's Venture Global Plaquemines LNG Terminal on December 22.
In the evening hours, the Malanje vessel, carrying 160 thousand cubic meters of LNG, and the Berge Arzew vessel, with a capacity of 145 thousand cubic meters, are expected to dock at the Marmara Ereğlisi LNG Terminal. The Minerva Kalymnos vessel will reach the Aliağa LNG Terminal on January 14, while the Lalla Fatma Nsoumer is set to arrive on January 16.
The journey time for the vessels from Algeria to Turkey is approximately one week, two weeks from Angola, and three weeks from the USA. The LNG arriving in Turkey is transformed into pipeline form after the necessary processes and integrated into the system, thus reaching citizens.
These LNG vessels will help meet over 350 million cubic meters of gas production, covering Turkey's gas needs for two and a half days in the summer and one and a half days in the winter.
