The President of the Investment and Finance Office, Ahmet Burak Dağlıoğlu, announced in his speech at the Halkbank Gençİz'25 Summit that over 5 billion dollars have been invested in technology startups in Turkey in the post-pandemic period.
At the summit held at the Istanbul Congress Center with the theme "Human 5.0 - The Future for Humanity," Dağlıoğlu emphasized their participation in international events, stating their goal to facilitate the investment acquisition processes of entrepreneurs. He noted that they help entrepreneurs attend international organizations to provide them with the opportunity to follow their global competitors.
Addressing young entrepreneurs, Dağlıoğlu stated they should communicate with the office. He also announced the development of a web platform to facilitate entrepreneurs' access to capital. The platform, accessible at startinturkiye.gov.tr, contains information about the investment areas and strategies of hundreds of fund managers.
Dağlıoğlu highlighted that companies operating in technoparks benefit from tax advantages, mentioning that there are no income tax or capital gains tax obligations. This situation makes Turkey an attractive country for technology entrepreneurs.
Dağlıoğlu indicated that one of the areas they are focusing on in the near term is the fintech ecosystem, announcing plans to launch a new technopark initiative for this purpose.
Dağlıoğlu stressed the need for entrepreneurs to be supported at every stage, particularly emphasizing the importance of financing at early stages. The event's host, Halkbank, will continue to support entrepreneurs.
