Record Increase in the Number of Drones and Pilots in Turkey

Turkey's aviation sector has entered an important development process with a significant increase in the number of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) and UAV pilots. The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Uraloğlu, made a detailed statement announcing that the number of UAV pilots has reached 1 million 629 thousand 631 individuals.

In recent years, due to the training and information programs conducted by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (SHGM), the number of UAVs in Turkey has exceeded 88 thousand. This situation clearly demonstrates the high potential of the country in the aviation and remote sensing fields.
