


The labor force statistics for the period of July-September 2025, announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), reveal important data about the current state of working life in our country. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained stable at %8.5 in this quarter, while a decrease in the number of unemployed was observed.
As of this quarter, the number of unemployed individuals aged 15 and older decreased by 26 thousand people compared to the previous quarter, rising to 3 million 10 thousand people. This situation is considered an indicator of positive developments in the labor market. The unemployment rate is recorded at %7.0 for men and %11.2 for women, highlighting the disparities in employment between genders.
On the employment front, significant growth was observed. According to the third-quarter data, the number of employed individuals increased by 65 thousand people, reaching 32 million 558 thousand people. This development is regarded as a sign of increased economic activities and job opportunities. The seasonally adjusted employment rate remained steady at %49.0, with this rate at %66.2 for men and %32.1 for women.
