The Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), published its Export Market Monitor Report for the August 2025 period. This report, which has been closely watched for a long time, reveals the developments in the export market since January 2024.
Accordingly, the Export Demand Index decreased by 1.7% on a monthly basis, falling to 98.5; this is the lowest level seen since the report began to be published. On an annual basis, the index recorded its sharpest decline with a 1.5% drop.
TİM's report emphasized that despite partial improvements in inflation in August, declines in indicators such as unemployment, consumer confidence, business confidence, and industrial production pulled the demand index below its long-term average.
The Market Resilience Index, on the other hand, increased by 0.8% on an annual basis, rising to 100.3, while showing a 0.8% decrease on a monthly basis. The partial increase in global geopolitical risks and the Export Demand Index falling below its long-term average negatively affected the resilience of export markets.
