Koç emphasized that Turkcell currently holds a 40% market share and has reached 39 million mobile subscribers. He indicated that special and flexible tariffs for users will be offered with 5G in the upcoming period, noting that these developments will provide significant advantages to subscribers.

Auction Results and Frequency Needs

Turkcell secured the right to a total of 160 MHz frequency at a cost of 1.22 billion dollars in the 5G auction conducted by the Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK). This success is designed to be used until December 31, 2042. Thus, Turkcell has gained the usage rights of 394.4 MHz of the total 949.2 MHz frequency resources in Turkey. They have reached a capacity to use approximately 42% of the total frequency.
