Turkish Airlines (THYAO) has signed an important code-sharing agreement with Air Montenegro, the national airline of Montenegro. This step aims to strengthen air transport between the two countries. The agreement targets the expansion of the regional flight network, aiming to increase the global reach of both airlines.
Vukadin Stojanovic, CEO of Air Montenegro, regarded this agreement as "an important step" in terms of strengthening Montenegro's international access. Stojanovic stated that the combination of Turkish Airlines' extensive network with regional flight services would offer passengers more destinations and flexibility. He also emphasized his belief that this partnership would contribute to the development of cultural and economic relations between the two countries.
Under the agreement, Turkish Airlines will add its flight code to the flights operated by Air Montenegro on the Istanbul–Tivat and Istanbul–Podgorica routes, providing its passengers with a broader travel opportunity through Istanbul. Thus, passengers will not only be traveling to Montenegro but will also have the opportunity to connect to other international flights offered by Turkish Airlines.
On the other hand, Air Montenegro will add its flight code to Turkish Airlines flights from Istanbul to Baku and Dubai, thus providing its guests with access to more destinations and global connectivity. This new collaboration promises a richer travel experience for passengers.
