Thinking Machines Lab, an artificial intelligence initiative founded by former OpenAI executive Mira Murati, has begun early-stage discussions for a new funding round with an estimated valuation of approximately 50 billion dollars. This was reported by Bloomberg News the following day.

The initiative, which was said to be valued at approximately 12 billion dollars after raising around 2 billion dollars in July, has been reported by some sources to be targeting a valuation of around 50 billion dollars, while others suggested that this figure could rise to 55 billion dollars or even 60 billion dollars.

It was emphasized that the terms of the deal are not yet finalized and may change. Thinking Machines did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment.

This development follows a report last month by the Wall Street Journal, which stated that one of the founding partners of Thinking Machines, Andrew Tulloch, had left the AI company to join Meta Platforms.

The company launched its first product, Tinker, in October, which helps to refine language models.
