Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankası Announces Record Reserves

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has passed a historic turning point in its reserve position. The Bank has increased its gross reserves to 205.2 billion dollars, reaching the highest level ever recorded.

4.6% Increase in Gross Reserves

According to the latest announced data, the CBRT's gross reserves were 196.1 billion dollars in the previous week, and with an increase of 9.1 billion dollars, they rose to 205.2 billion dollars. This figure has been recorded as a significant indicator that has exceeded the important threshold of 200 billion dollars for the first time in the history of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey.

Significant Increase in Net Reserves

Last week, net reserves increased from 82.9 billion dollars to 91 billion dollars, with an increase of 8.1 billion dollars.

Net Reserve Position Excluding Swap Transactions

The net reserve position of the CBRT, excluding swap transactions conducted with domestic and foreign banks, has risen from 70.1 billion dollars to 78.8 billion dollars.
