S&P 500 is in the red for the fourth day!

The S&P 500 index closed in the red for the fourth consecutive day, experiencing a decline. Analyzing today's market movements, Jared Blikre highlighted important market themes such as Nvidia (NVDA) shares and the semiconductor index (SOX). These stocks drew attention by falling below their 50-day moving averages.

Recent data from a fund manager survey conducted by Bank of America also captured investor attention. Additionally, an increase in market volatility occurred, and the VIX index rose.

Nvidia and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index experienced significant declines in their recent closing figures. The year-to-date performance of the S&P 500 signals a considerable selling pressure accompanying these declines. Today, particularly defensive stocks such as medical services (XLV), energy (XLE), and utilities (XLU) caught attention. In the consumer spending sector, Amazon suffered the largest loss at 4%.

Reports released by global fund managers indicated that the most active trading occurred in the Magnificent 7 stocks. These managers oversee a total of half a trillion dollars in assets. However, concerns regarding the AI bubble along with these stocks have also increased.

Investor cash levels have dropped to their lowest point since 2011, at 3.7%. This situation is seen as a signal that the market may experience a correction. According to the survey results, many companies indicated that excessive investment has taken place, a situation not previously observed in earlier reports.

The VIX index is another factor attracting investors' attention. Historically, the VIX has been at elevated levels, increasing the risks of volatility in the markets. Meanwhile, the Ice BofA Movement Index, which measures volatility in the bond market, has reached its highest level in the last two months.

Regarding Bitcoin market trends, a 1% increase was observed in the last 24 hours. A temporary support level is thought to be forming at $90,000. However, it has been noted that short-term sellers could act at levels up to $100,000. Therefore, it would be wise to be cautious for pricing below these levels.
