Discounted SOL Sales of Solana Are on Investors' Agenda.

Recently, Solana (SOL) has been attracting attention with its ecosystem development strategies. The Solana Foundation is adopting the trend of "digital asset treasury" by selling SOL at discounted prices to several large companies. This strategy is receiving significant interest from investors, and its impact on the value of SOL is a matter of curiosity.

The Solana Foundation aims for growth through special agreements with corporate companies. For example, millions of dollars worth of SOL have been sold at discounted prices to various NASDAQ companies. This situation has led to a rapid increase in the number of publicly traded Solana treasury companies. The Swiss-based non-profit foundation aims to collaborate with companies that will contribute to the Solana ecosystem in the long term. Through these types of agreements, while demand for SOL is increasing, it continues to capture the attention of institutional investors.

However, some industry analysts argue that these low-priced sales are "too repetitive." Companies like Sharp Technology, Solana Company, Upexi, Forward Industries, and Brera Holdings, which are directly cooperating with the foundation, hold billions of dollars worth of SOL in total. Some of these companies have purchased tokens with discounts of up to 15%. In particular, Forward Industries stands out with a SOL portfolio exceeding $1.5 billion.

On the other hand, some executives in the sector claim that the foundation's support has exaggerated "marketing effects." A DAT executive stated, "In the end, this only means a 15% discount on a $50 million purchase." It appears that the Solana Foundation is aggressively advancing in this area, as similar fluctuations are being attempted by the foundations of Ethereum, Tron, Dogecoin, and Ton.

Among the developments, the most noteworthy is VisionSys AI’s plan to create a $2 billion SOL treasury. The company announced that it aims to acquire $500 million worth of SOL within six months and establish a special partnership with Marinade Finance. Such developments are increasing expectations that Solana could become a strong treasury asset within institutions, comparable to Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
