Defense and Aerospace Export Summit: New Figures

President of the Defense Industry Agency Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün announced on his social media account that Turkey's defense and aviation industry achieved 708 million dollars in exports in October 2025. This figure once again highlights the sector's competitive strength in the international market.

Sharing information that the total exports excluding service exports reached 6.7 billion dollars with a 31% increase compared to the previous year in the first ten months of the year, Görgün drew attention to this success. He noted that the share of the defense and aviation sector in Turkey's overall exports has risen to 3.5%. This increase indicates that the export performance in the sector is strengthening.

Görgün stated, “With this increase, the share of our defense and aviation sector in Turkey's overall exports has risen to 3.5%. Our sector is making progress not only in figures but also in qualified collaborations,” emphasizing the importance of international partnerships.

He pointed out that the sustainable export success in the sector is the result of defense industry collaboration activities carried out around the world. These collaborations are decisive steps towards Turkey's goal of being a global player in the defense industry. Görgün said, “We continue these efforts with the same determination. I would like to thank our agency staff, companies, and all stakeholders working for a stronger Turkey globally with value-added, high-tech products, and wish them continued success,” he expressed.
