The President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), Mustafa Gültepe, shared significant figures while evaluating the export data for October. Stating that exports in October increased by 2.2 percent compared to the same month last year, Gültepe noted that the 10-month export total reached 224.6 billion dollars. This increase once again highlights the strength and competitiveness of the Turkish economy in the international market.
Gültepe emphasized that the exports achieved in the last year have exceeded the 270 billion dollars mark, pointing out that this progress in Turkey's foreign trade performance has important ramifications on a sectoral basis. He highlighted that the strategic efforts aimed at contributing to economic growth have helped Turkey strengthen its position in the global market.
The positive developments in Turkey’s exports stand out as a sign that Turkey's production capacity and industrial strength are being effectively evaluated according to international standards. Gültepe drew attention to the importance of all stakeholders fulfilling their responsibilities for the sustainability of this success.
Additionally, TİM President Gültepe emphasized that Turkey's export targets should be raised further and pointed out the need to strengthen entry strategies into new markets and global trade networks. He stated that special incentives and support mechanisms should be implemented to enhance the export potential of relevant sectors.
In conclusion, the year-on-year increase of 2.2% in October is considered an important turning point in Turkey's exports. TİM will continue its efforts to increase Turkey's exports and, in this context, will continue to take steps to further strengthen Turkey's economy.
