The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, announced the ongoing positive trends in industrial production and a 3.9% growth. It was stated that the support for industrial transformation will be increased.

Positive Trends in Industrial Production Continue

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek pointed out the ongoing positive trends in industrial production. In the period of January-August 2025, industrial production showed an annual growth of 3.9% after adjusting for calendar effects. During this process, production increases were recorded in 18 out of a total of 24 manufacturing sectors.

Industrial Transformation and High Technology Production

Şimşek stated that the production of capital goods and high-tech production will show strong performance by 2025, contributing to the modernization of Turkey's industrial structure.

Support for Labor-Intensive Sectors

In a statement made over social media, Minister Şimşek emphasized that they are working on additional supports to revitalize the weak production in labor-intensive sectors. He also announced that measures will be taken to restrict the access of subsidized products that violate international rules to the domestic market.

Vision to Increase Competitive Power

Şimşek expressed that he aims to permanently increase the competitive power of the industry, further strengthening the dynamics of sustainable growth.
