Industrial Production Index on the Rise Again
In June, following the challenges experienced after the earthquake, the industrial production index has started to rise again. When examining the subsectors of industry during this period, noteworthy developments were observed.
Increases in Sub-Sectors
In August 2025, the mining and quarrying sector index increased by 2.6% compared to the same month of the previous year. Additionally, the manufacturing industry sector index showed an increase of 7.7%, while the index for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning production and distribution rose by 6.1%.
Monthly Increase Rate of 0.4%
When evaluated on a monthly basis, the mining and quarrying sector index decreased by 0.1%, while the manufacturing industry sector index recorded an increase of 0.7%. On the other hand, the index for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning production and distribution fell by 2.5%.
