A research conducted by Forbes in collaboration with the market research company Statista has seen participation from over 300,000 employees across more than 50 countries. In this research, companies were evaluated based on essential criteria such as employees' tendency to recommend their employers, career development, work-life balance, and corporate reputation.
Sharing his thoughts on the topic, Kıvanç Zaimler, the CEO of Sabancı Holding, stated, “This year, we became the number one company in Turkey on Time magazine's 'World's Best Companies' list, and now on Forbes magazine's 'World's Best Employers' list. As the Sabancı Group, we exist not only with the current successes of our companies but also with the dreams we carry into the future.”
“We are combining our 100 years of legacy with the energy of our youth and the courage of our employees. This success transforms Sabancı into a community that shapes not just Turkey's, but the world's future. For us, the real investment is the investment we make in our people. With the passion, courage, and creativity of our employees, we are advancing into our second century with stronger steps.” he added.
On the 11th of October, International Day of the Girl Child, the Sabancı Foundation launched an important project to support the education of girl children. According to data from the Educational Reform Initiative (ERG), 270,000 girl children in Turkey are unable to continue their education during the compulsory education period. This means that 13,500 classrooms worth of girl children are deprived of education.
This year, unlike previous years, the Sabancı Foundation has preferred to allocate direct resources rather than running a campaign that draws attention to equal opportunities for girls. The foundation continues to support non-governmental organizations. Over the past 20 years, it has provided over 650 million TL in grant support at today's value, and this year it is initiating strong solidarity by supporting 6 different NGOs in the field with a grant of 15 million TL to ensure that girl children can continue their education and empower themselves.
