Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary announced in an interview with Bloomberg that his after-tax profit for the second quarter was registered at 1.72 billion dollars. This figure was 1.43 billion dollars in the same period last year.

The Ireland-based low-cost airline expects to exceed its passenger growth target by the end of the year. This is attributed to aircraft previously acquired from Boeing Co. and the strong ongoing travel demand.
