Important Step from the Competition Authority

The Competition Authority has initiated an investigation into Carex Herbal Products and Cosmetics, Farma Plus Pharmaceutical Band Health and Cosmetics, and Digital Farma Pharmaceuticals, which are three cosmetic companies. In a statement on the Authority's official website, it was noted that a preliminary investigation was carried out following allegations that these companies determined the sales prices for resellers and restricted online sales.

Preliminary Investigation and Investigation Developments

As a result of the preliminary investigation, it was emphasized that the information and documents obtained indicated serious violations. Therefore, it was decided to open an investigation regarding the economic integrity in question. It was reminded that many similar investigations have been conducted in the cosmetic sector in the years 2022, 2023, and 2024, during which restrictions on internet-marketplace sales by resellers were examined.

Other Developments in the Sector

Furthermore, it was announced that as a result of these investigations, many undertakings were imposed administrative fines. However, it was expressed that the investigation decisions made by the Board did not mean that the companies under investigation violated the relevant law and did not imply that they would face severe sanctions.
