QNB Turkey General Manager Ömür Tan's Expectations for 2026

QNB Turkey General Manager Ömür Tan, in an interview with Anadolu Agency as part of the Banking Talks, described the year 2025 as a period where geopolitical uncertainties will be influential in global markets. Tan noted that the tight policies in the economy contribute to disinflation, emphasizing that monetary policies are being implemented effectively to achieve lasting price stability.

He added that they expect a significant rise in profitability indicators, as the limited deterioration in retail loans will balance out along with improvements in net interest margins.

Tan stated the bank's targets for 2026, mentioning that they will seek ways to achieve healthy and profitable growth through investment and customer acquisition strategies. He also emphasized that their advancements in digitalization and sustainability would continue. He reminded not to forget their goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
