Opera MiniPay Expands Stablecoin Spending in Latin America

Opera has launched the "Pay Like Local" feature with its MiniPay wallet. This new feature allows users in Argentina and Brazil to spend stablecoins in stores and services alongside local payment systems.

The feature integrates Tether (USDT) balances with PIX and Mercado Pago, enabling users to make instant payments using QR codes and allowing payments to be converted into the local currency.

MiniPay plans to expand this feature to other markets. It announced that it will collaborate with providers to offer more comprehensive services in Latin America and Canada.
