


QNB Turkey Chairman Ömer Aras announced that he will not be a candidate for the board of directors at the Ordinary General Assembly Meeting to be held in March 2026. This decision was made as Aras's term at the bank is coming to an end.
According to a statement made by the bank, it was reported via the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that QNB Group CEO Abdulla Mubarak Al Khalifa will be nominated for a position on the board of directors. The upcoming Ordinary General Assembly is expected to be a significant turning point for the bank's strategic direction.
The statement included, "Our Chairman Mr. Mehmet Ömer Arif Aras has announced that he will not be a candidate at the Ordinary General Assembly Meeting to be held in March 2026. It is planned that Abdulla Mubarak Al Khalifa will be nominated for the Board of Directors by our main partner QNB (Q.P.S.C)."
