


QNB Turkey Chairman Ömer Aras announced that he will not run for a seat on the board of directors at the bank's Ordinary General Assembly Meeting, which will take place in March 2026. This decision was made at a time when Aras's term at the bank is set to expire.
In a statement from the bank, it was noted that according to information announced via the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), QNB Group CEO Abdulla Mubarak Al Khalifa will be nominated for a seat on the board of directors. The upcoming Ordinary General Assembly appears to be a significant turning point for the bank's strategic orientations.
The statement included, "Our Chairman, Mr. Mehmet Ömer Arif Aras, has announced that he will not run for candidacy at the Ordinary General Assembly Meeting to be held in March 2026. It is planned that Abdulla Mubarak Al Khalifa will be nominated for the Board of Directors by our main partner QNB (Q.P.S.C)."
