Nvidia's Influence in Asia is Growing

Nvidia (NVDA) is strengthening its presence in Asia. The company plans to send over 260,000 advanced Blackwell AI chips to South Korea. These chips will be used by the South Korean government and leading companies such as Samsung Electronics, SK Group, Hyundai Motor, Naver, and Kakao for data centers, smart factories, and autonomous driving systems.

This announcement was made during the APEC summit held in Gyeongju. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang met with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and industry leaders. Huang noted that this partnership indicates a shift in South Korea's industrial focus from shipbuilding and automobile manufacturing to intelligence creation.

Nvidia continues to seek new markets with this agreement as export restrictions imposed on China have limited its sales. This collaboration represents a significant step for South Korea in establishing its own artificial intelligence infrastructure and innovation network.
