Monad has opened the Airdrop Portal for Token Launch.

Monad is gearing up for one of the most anticipated token launches of the year. The Layer-1 blockchain project has opened its MON airdrop portal, inviting eligible users to check their status ahead of the official token distribution. The airdrop is not live yet, but the Monad Foundation has stated that users can now verify their eligibility and connect their wallets. This process will remain open until November 3, 2025.

Keone Hon, co-founder of Monad, stated on the X platform, "There’s no incentive to rush, so take your time. Double-check everything." In a blog post from the Monad Foundation, it was mentioned that they will target approximately 5,500 core community members and 225,000 broader crypto users. These users will be rewarded as contributors to the growth of the Monad ecosystem.

The distribution will be carried out through a multi-tiered system across five different categories: Monad Community, Onchain Users, Crypto Community, Crypto Contributors, and Enthusiasts, Monad Developers. Those eligible from multiple categories will have the opportunity to combine their allocations to give more weight to active participants. The team also announced that they will combine on-chain activities (like DEX volume and NFT ownership) with off-chain verification through platforms such as Twitter, Discord, and Telegram.

The airdrop serves as a step towards Monad's upcoming mainnet launch. However, the timing of this launch and the number of tokens to be allocated to communities are still uncertain. Hon had previously shared on the X platform that there would be 100 billion MON tokens.
