Monad Network and Airdrop Date Announced: Starts on November 24

In the cryptocurrency world, investors are eagerly awaiting the Monad (MON) network and token airdrop, which will start on November 24 at 17:00 (Turkey Time). According to the official announcement by the Monad team, this new Layer-1 blockchain and its native token MON will be available for use on the morning of November 24 at 09:00 (Eastern Time).

The network launch and community airdrop stand out as one of the most notable cryptocurrency events of 2023. The Monad Foundation kept the token request portal it opened in October accessible to users until November 3. During this process, users were able to view their MON allocations and connect their wallets. However, high demand led to performance issues with the shared wallet provider Privy.

Monad's Marketing Director Nathan Cha emphasized the excitement by stating, "This is one of the most anticipated crypto launches of the last year." The number of users participating in the airdrop program is quite remarkable. This program, which includes activists from significant projects like Aave, Hyperliquid, and Uniswap, covers approximately 225,000 on-chain users along with early community members.

The Monad Airdrop will not be limited to users of the above projects; it will also reward long-term holders of specific NFT projects and participants in DAO governance. The Monad Foundation stated, "We want the Monad community to be the main stakeholders shaping the future of the network." Education-focused projects like RareSkills and SheFi will also receive a share of the token allocations.

While the details of the tokenomics have not yet been disclosed, it has been noted that Monad has raised a total of $225 million in investments since its establishment in 2022. The project aims to combine the speed of Solana with the security of Ethereum. The special MonadDb database and parallel processing engine introduced during the testnet phase can handle thousands of transactions simultaneously and offers sub-second accuracy, elevating the user experience to the next level.

For the network launch, there are plans for integrated operations with applications like Uniswap, Magic Eden, OpenSea, as well as wallets like MetaMask, OKX, Backpack, and Rabby. For cryptocurrency investors, Monad stands out as a new alternative that deserves attention in the market.
