Monad Network and Airdrop Date Announced: Starts on November 24th

The crypto world is eagerly awaiting the launch of the Monad (MON) network and token airdrop, which will begin on November 24 at 5:00 PM (Turkey Time). According to an official announcement by the Monad team, this new Layer-1 blockchain and its native token MON will be made available on November 24 at 9:00 AM (Eastern Time).

The network launch and community airdrop stand out as one of the most notable crypto events of 2023. The Monad Foundation kept the token claim portal open for users until November 3. During this process, users were able to view their MON allocations and link their wallets. However, the high demand led to performance issues with the joint wallet provider Privy.

Monad's Marketing Director Nathan Cha emphasized the excitement by stating, "This is one of the most anticipated crypto launches in the last year." The number of users participating in the airdrop program is also quite remarkable. This program includes early community members and approximately 225,000 onchain users, including activists from significant projects like Aave, Hyperliquid, and Uniswap.

The Monad Airdrop will not be limited to the users of the above-mentioned projects; long-term holders of certain NFT projects and participants in DAO governance will also be rewarded. The Monad Foundation stated, "We want the Monad community to be the key stakeholders shaping the future of the network." Education-focused projects like RareSkills and SheFi will also receive a share of token allocations.

While details of the token economy have not yet been disclosed, it has been reported that Monad has raised a total of $225 million in funding since its establishment in 2022. The project aims to combine Solana speed with Ethereum security. The specialized MonadDb database and parallel processing engine introduced during the testnet phase can process thousands of transactions simultaneously, providing sub-second accuracy and enhancing user experience to the next level.

At the network launch, plans are in place for integration with applications like Uniswap, Magic Eden, OpenSea, and wallets such as MetaMask, OKX, Backpack, and Rabby. For crypto investors, Monad emerges as a new alternative worth paying attention to in the market.
