Melvin Greer is the new Chief AI Officer of AI MINDSystems!

AI MINDSystems Foundation announced the appointment of Melvin Greer, PhD, as its Chief AI Officer. Dr. Greer is a renowned technologist and innovation leader who supports the mission of protecting personal data privacy and enabling financial inclusion for individuals.

Retiring from Intel Corporation in August 2025, Dr. Greer served as Fellow and Chief Data Scientist, and is known for accelerating advanced privacy-preserving applications in the fields of machine learning and artificial intelligence. He now joins the management team of AI MINDSystems Foundation to guide the AI dimensions of the person-centered AI MINDSystems Trusted Data Ecosystem™.

Dr. Greer emphasized the importance of a human-centered approach in data and AI systems by stating, "Data is not oil or fuel. Data is people." He added, "The AI MINDSystems Foundation team has laid the groundwork for a much-needed technological revolution aimed at ensuring individuals' health, well-being, and equity. I am excited to drive the mission and develop new structural, technological, and economic paradigms."

Dr. Greer will continue to provide deep support in this role.

Dr. Greer has collaborated with the AI MINDSystems Foundation on the National HERO (Health Enhancer Resource Orchestration) initiative since its inception. This initiative facilitated the launch of the AI MINDSystems Trusted Data Ecosystem.

Dr. Greer, who has deep expertise in areas such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, is knowledgeable in data security, sustainable infrastructure, and ethical AI governance. His work is critical to accelerating the broad impact of AI MINDSystems Foundation. He was recognized by CIO World as one of the "Most Admired Leaders to Watch in 2025."

Among his key priorities are developing technical capabilities in the fields of AI and data science and ensuring operational oversight, as well as leading outbound AI policy, advocacy, and strategic partnerships.

These services will provide privacy-preserving, decentralized, secure multiparty computing capabilities along with reliable and verifiable data and artificial intelligence.
