Cboe Brings Innovation to the Crypto Market

Cboe has announced that it will offer "continuous futures contracts" for Bitcoin and Ethereum. These new financial instruments will launch on December 15. The products are designed to replicate continuous futures, regulated as crypto derivatives in the United States.

The new contracts will be settled in cash and will trade with a 10-year maturity. Additionally, they will track spot prices using daily financing and eliminate roll-over requirements. With these features, they aim to facilitate access for investors to long-term crypto positions.

The products are designed for institutional investors and advanced retail traders. Consequently, Cboe aims to contribute to the long-term crypto ecosystem within a framework regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) with these new financial instruments.
