Apple’s new iPhone 17 series continues to show longer-than-normal wait times, according to statements made by JPMorgan. Analyst Samik Chatterjee indicated in the weekly Apple Product Access Tracker (Week 10) report that the delivery times for the series have "remained unchanged" and are better than the one-day reduction observed at the same time last year.
According to JPMorgan’s data, the average global delivery times for the iPhone 17 family are around 7 days, while this time was approximately 2 days during the same period last year. This difference highlights that the supply has yet to keep pace with high demand.
The Base iPhone has once again caught attention with the longest wait times for the second consecutive time. Weekly trends also show an unusual stability compared to the previous year. Chatterjee emphasized that delivery times have "remained unchanged" (compared to Wk9), which indicates a one-day reduction compared to the previous year.
While the Base iPhone 17 continues to remain stable, last year’s Base iPhone 16 experienced a one-day reduction during the same period. Additionally, it was noted that the wait times for the iPhone Air increased by one day, while there was a one-day decrease for the iPhone 16 Plus last year. Delivery times for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max remained steady, whereas a one-day reduction was recorded for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max in the previous cycle.
