WILMINGTON, Del., November 3, 2025 - InterDigital, Inc. (Nasdaq: IDCC), a research and development company focused on mobile, video, and artificial intelligence technologies, announced that it has obtained a preliminary injunction against Disney in Germany.

The Munich District Court has ruled in favor of InterDigital, finding that Disney has infringed on a patent belonging to InterDigital that involves a method for dynamically overlaying a first video stream with a second video stream. Disney has the right to appeal this decision.

This decision by the Munich court also follows a preliminary injunction granted in a parallel case in Brazil, where it was also determined that Disney infringed on the patents in question owned by InterDigital.

Josh Schmidt, InterDigital's General Counsel, stated, “This is another example of how Disney has used InterDigital's innovations to deliver its content streams to consumers and build a multi-billion-dollar global streaming business. Disney understands the importance of innovation and intellectual property protection to its business. We encourage them to obtain a license that fairly values InterDigital's core innovations.”

InterDigital is a global research and development company founded in 1972 and listed on Nasdaq, focusing on technologies such as wireless, video, and artificial intelligence.
