


Significant changes have been made in the Regulation on the Classification of Raw Cow's Milk prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The new regulation has been published in the Official Gazette and has come into effect.
This regulation establishes the procedures and principles for classifying raw cow's milk that will be supplied to the industry under contract according to the fat and protein values in the milk composition into three categories: A, B, and C to enhance the quality.
With the new regulation, a significant update has been made regarding the fat values of C Class raw cow's milk. Previously, during the October-March period, the fat value of raw milk was defined as below %3.3, while the new regulation stipulates that this rate should be between %2.9 and %3.3.
In addition, for raw milk, the fat percentage during the April-September period has been determined to be between %2.9 and %3.2. In previous regulations, this rate was set below %3.2.
