Service PPI: Lowest Increase Recorded in 4 Years

Current Situation of the Producer Price Index for Services (PPI-S)

In September 2025, the Producer Price Index for Services (PPI-S) increased by only %0.21 compared to the previous month. This figure indicates an increase of %34.76 compared to the previous December and %34.91 compared to September of the previous year. When looking at the average rates over the last 12 months, the increase rate is recorded as %40.43.

Lowest Monthly and Annual Increases

The lowest monthly increase rate has been observed in PPI-S since September 2021, while the lowest annual increase figures have been recorded since October 2021.

Increases by Service Categories

Significant increases were recorded in the service sector: Real estate services increased by approximately %47.56 compared to the previous year, transportation and storage services %28.97, accommodation and food services %35.79, information and communication services %38.54, professional, scientific and technical services %43.04, and administrative and support services increased by %39.18.

Monthly Change Rates

In September, the changes in the sector compared to the previous month were as follows: Transportation and storage %1.84 increase, accommodation and food %1.59 decrease, information and communication %0.88 increase, real estate %2.69 decrease, professional, scientific and technical %1.11 increase, and administrative and support services experienced a %2.33 decrease.
