Hepsiburada's Green Transformation Training for Young People

Hepsiburada organized an important education program for young people to raise awareness in the fields of sustainability and technology. This training, carried out in cooperation with UNDP Istanbul Regional Hub, took place at the MEXT Technology Center with a high attendance from November 20-22. The program brought together a total of 50 young participants from 18 countries.

The main theme of the program was determined as “AI, Energy & Supply Chain,” and the training provided by Hepsiburada Tech Academy focused on discovering career opportunities in digital commerce, sustainability, and the e-commerce ecosystem. In this context, both the future of technology and green transformation topics were emphasized.

Notably, this program had a high participation of women, with 72% of the attendees being women. This is seen as an important step towards supporting underrepresented groups in the technology field. The training offers opportunities for young people not only in Turkey but also in different geographies, adopting the goal of creating a more inclusive technological ecosystem.

Hepsiburada's initiative helps young people acquire the competencies needed in the digital age while also drawing attention to green transformation and sustainability issues. The training program not only provides participants with theoretical knowledge but also allows for the implementation of this knowledge through practical applications and workshops.

As a result, Hepsiburada's significant initiative aims to contribute to the sustainable realization of digital transformation, while also ensuring that young women and other underrepresented groups take a more prominent role in the technological future. Supporting young people, who will form the future workforce, with such trainings can lead to both individual and societal development.
