Halkbank's Credit Support and Interest Rate Reductions for Tradesmen

The TESKOMB Presidents' Meeting held in Belek, Antalya, hosted significant developments regarding tradesmen financing and credit supports. On this occasion, Halkbank General Manager Osman Arslan announced that the bank will continue to support tradesmen. Reminding that the total credit volume provided to tradesmen last year was around 115 billion Turkish lira, Arslan stated that this figure is expected to reach 148 billion Turkish lira this year.

Osman Arslan also announced that credit files pending at the bank would be processed quickly starting from Monday. These announcements are considered a step towards responding more rapidly to the financing needs of tradesmen. Arslan expressed that they are working on new financing models aimed at tradesmen, emphasizing that various product development processes are ongoing in this context.

Among the new projects that consider the needs of tradesmen are subsidized loans, as well as new products based on mortgages with favorable interest rates, said Arslan, stating that these plans were made to minimize financing needs. In this regard, he announced that a non-subsidized credit line of up to 1 million lira would be opened with second-degree mortgage. These new products are thought to provide an important opportunity to alleviate the financial burdens of tradesmen and ensure their economic sustainability.

Arslan emphasized the critical role of tradesmen and small businesses in the Turkish economy, drawing attention to the importance of the continuity of supports offered by the bank in this area. He stressed that Halkbank’s approach to tradesmen is not only financial support but also providing suitable solutions for their business processes. Such meetings are also seen as important opportunities for strengthening the bank's communication with the tradesmen sector.
