South Korea Listed Meteora on the Stock Exchanges, Price Started to Rise

South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, Upbit and Bithumb, announced the simultaneous listing of the Meteora (MET) altcoin. This development caught the attention of investors, leading to a rise in the price of MET. According to Upbit's announcement, Meteora (MET) will be listed on November 18, 2023, at 17:00, with KRW, Bitcoin (BTC), and USDT trading pairs. Deposit transactions will only be possible through the Solana network. Upbit warned users that transfers from different networks are not supported and may prolong refund processes. Additionally, it was stated that buying orders would be restricted for the first 5 minutes of the listing, and only limit orders would be accepted for approximately 2 hours. Upbit emphasized the necessity of using this symbol to prevent erroneous transfers.

Bithumb also took similar actions, announcing that it would list the Meteora (MET) asset in the KRW trading pair at the same time. This exchange also indicated that deposit transactions could only be made through the Solana network and stated that buying orders would be restricted in the first 5 minutes. It was also reported that no transaction fees would be charged for MET transactions between November 18-20. Both exchanges emphasized that users should not transfer from unsupported exchanges and should be cautious regarding address verification.
