Grayscale Rebalanced Its Fund: What Are the New Altcoins?

Grayscale Investments has rebalanced three significant investment funds in the third quarter of 2025 to strengthen its position in the digital asset sector. These funds include the DeFi Fund, the Smart Contract Fund, and the Artificial Intelligence Fund. The changes made present particularly noteworthy opportunities for investors.

In Grayscale’s DeFi Fund, the asset MakerDAO (MKR) has been removed from the portfolio, and Aerodrome Finance (AERO) has been added. Additionally, important adjustments have been made among the existing assets Uniswap (UNI), Aave (AAVE), Ondo (ONDO), Lido (LDO), and Curve (CRV). According to the new distribution, the DeFi Fund now contains Uniswap at 32.32%, Aave at 28.07%, Ondo at 19.07%, Lido at 7.02%, Curve at 6.92%, and Aerodrome Finance at 6.60% weight.

In the Smart Contract Fund, no new token has been added, but a rebalancing has been conducted among the existing assets. This fund contains Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Avalanche (AVAX), Sui (SUI), and Hedera (HBAR) tokens. According to the updated ratios, Solana is at 30.97%, Ethereum at 30.32%, Cardano at 18.29%, Avalanche at 7.57%, Sui at 7.35%, and Hedera at 5.50%.

In the Artificial Intelligence Fund, a notable addition has been made with the inclusion of the Story (IP) token into the portfolio. The new composition of the fund is as follows: NEAR Protocol (NEAR) at 25.81%, Bittensor (TAO) at 22.15%, Story (IP) at 21.53%, Render (RENDER) at 12.91%, Filecoin (FIL) at 11.39%, and The Graph (GRT) at 6.21%. All of these updates have been made as part of Grayscale’s goal to provide thematic and diversified crypto opportunities for investors.

Grayscale Investments is one of the largest investment managers in the sector, with $35 billion in assets under management. Through regular quarterly fund rebalancing, it aims to adapt to market conditions and provide better opportunities tailored to investor interests.
