Grant Cardone is known as a real estate mogul and motivational speaker. In his latest TikTok video, he questioned the advice given to a 23-year-old regarding their life. By asking, "Who told you this?", he conveyed the message that young people should not spend their youth merely having fun.
Cardone emphasized that young people need to work hard and make an effort immediately. He stated, "At 23, having fun and enjoying life is not your right," highlighting the importance of putting in effort now for a better future. Additionally, he questioned the influence of the mother figure on young people, noting that parents sometimes are not content with their lives.
A new report shows that more than half of those graduating in 2024 will be working in unqualified jobs, shedding light on the challenges young people face in finding employment. According to Bank of America data, new workforce members are experiencing the highest unemployment rates in the last four decades.
Cardone's message is that young people should not use their youth as an excuse for laziness. The consequences of not showing ambition at a young age can lead to irreversible losses over time. On an official scale, a Resume Genius survey revealed that Gen Z workers are regretting their decisions to attend college, with a quarter of them expressing remorse. The anxiety created by investing so much time and money without results is pushing young people to take action.
Cardone's approach may be harsh, but it reflects a reality felt by everyone: the twenties should not be spent solely on enjoyment; working hard is essential for progress in life.
