Ethereum ERC-8004 Increases Trust in Artificial Intelligence

Ethereum developers are preparing to launch a new standard called ERC-8004, which provides a common framework for artificial intelligence software agents to continuously create on-chain identities and trustworthiness.

This standard defines three records: identity, reputation, and verification. This allows agents to register themselves, collect reusable feedback, and publish independent audits of their work on Ethereum or layer-2 networks.

Framed as a neutral infrastructure rather than a marketplace, ERC-8004 aims to enable trustless artificial intelligence services on Ethereum. This development comes at a time when the price of Ethereum has recently increased, trading just above 3,000 dollars.
