The Presidential Cabinet Meeting has concluded after an approximately three-hour session. Following the meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a press conference, making various notable statements regarding the economy.
Some key points from President Erdoğan's statements are as follows:
On January 22, I attended the 7th Ordinary General Assembly of the Turkish Entrepreneurs Businessmen Confederation (TÜGİK) to meet with the business community. TÜGİK, with 6 federations, 60 associations, and nearly 10,000 members, makes significant contributions to the Turkish economy.
Among the world's top 250 international engineering and contracting firms, we rank second with 45 Turkish firms. Despite global economic challenges, Turkish firms have generated $20.8 billion in revenue from international projects, with 8 of them in the top 100 and 2 in the top 50.
Our relations with Africa, the rising star of the continent, are strengthening in every field. We have increased the number of our embassies on the continent to 44. Our goal is to reach 50. Currently, 38 African countries have their embassies operating in Ankara.
In Turkey's foreign policy, the Turkish world holds a prominent position. With a population of approximately 300 million, an area of 4.5 million square kilometers, and an economic volume of $2 trillion, the Turkish world carries great power and potential.
