


President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held an important phone conversation with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. During the meeting, the bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as critical regional developments, were discussed.
According to a statement made by Turkey's Communications Directorate, President Erdoğan stated the following during the conversation:
“In my phone conversation with Venezuelan President Maduro, I emphasized that we closely monitor the developments in our region. We believe that problems can be solved through dialogue, and we express this on every platform.”
Additionally, President Erdoğan noted that it is extremely important to keep the channels of dialogue open between the U.S. and Venezuela. Turkey expressed its hope that tension will be eased as soon as possible.
