


In the town of Davos, Switzerland, the 56th Eurasia panel themed 'Spirit of Dialogue' was held from January 19-23, 2023, as part of the World Economic Forum, providing an important platform to discuss visions for the future of the geography that includes Turkey.
The panel featured leading leaders such as Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that the peace steps taken between Azerbaijan and Armenia have started to produce results. He noted that the agreement signed in Washington last year was a historic turning point, stating that peace is critical not only for the two countries but also for the stability and economic integration of the entire South Caucasus.
Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan stressed that the two countries are moving towards peace, escaping the traces of war, and that this is an important achievement. Khachaturyan indicated that citizens would normalize their daily lives through trade and interaction and expressed that the reopening of borders with Turkey would be beneficial for both countries.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic emphasized that the economic identity of Eurasia will gain meaning with lasting political stability. Vucic stated that a climate of peace is essential for successful transportation and energy corridors.
Representing the business community at the panel, Ebru Özdemir, Chairwoman of Limak Holding, highlighted Turkey's strategic position on the East-West axis and its relations with Central Asia, stating that the country plays a significant role in Eurasia.
