


President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasized that Turkish contractors have achieved worldwide success with their solid engineering background and reliability, announcing that the targets in service exports have largely been exceeded.
Speaking at the Overseas Contracting Services Success Awards Ceremony, Erdoğan noted that Turkish construction companies have ranked among the most prestigious firms in the world in recent years. Erdoğan said, "Since 1972, the Turkish construction sector has conducted overseas activities, reaching a total of 557 billion dollars in business volume with 12,816 projects in 138 countries today."
Erdoğan pointed out that out of the 250 largest international contracting firms, 45 are Turkish, stating, "There are 8 Turkish firms in the top 100 companies, and two of them are in the top 50." Additionally, he emphasized that the total revenue gained from international projects by the 45 Turkish firms amounts to 20.8 billion dollars.
Highlighting that the targets for 2025 have been considerably achieved, Erdoğan stated, "2025 will be a year in which significant gains are made in the fight against inflation and records are broken in exports and tourism." He noted that the inflation rate has decreased to %30.89, the lowest level in the last 49 months.
Announcing that Central Bank reserves have historically surpassed 200 billion dollars, Erdoğan mentioned that the reserves they inherited in 2002 have increased to 205 billion 177 million dollars as of last week. He also added that the unemployment rate has remained in single digits for the last 30 months.
