After returning to Turkey from visits to Saudi Arabia and Egypt on Wednesday, Erdoğan made statements to journalists, saying, “We are signing important collaborations with Saudi Arabia in the field of defense industry and we are determined to develop this.”

Importance of Kaan Fighter Jet

Erdoğan stated, “Kaan is not just a fighter jet, but also a symbol of Turkey's engineering capability and independent defense resolve. We have received many positive feedbacks regarding Kaan.” He also mentioned that as Turkey gains more say in the global defense industry, collaborations will increase.

Joint Investment Possibility

President Erdoğan emphasized, “There is a possibility of joint investment with Saudi Arabia in this regard. We can realize this joint investment at any moment.”
