The Vice President of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters Union, Ahmet Hamdi Gürdoğan, shared details about the honey exports from the region. In the first nine months of the year, 393 tons of honey were exported from the Eastern Black Sea to a total of 11 countries. This situation creates a hopeful picture for both honey producers in the region and local economies.
Thanks to its rich flora and favorable climatic conditions, the Eastern Black Sea has become an important center for honey production. Especially with its organic honey and special production varieties, the region has captured the attention of consumers and has carved out a place for itself in the global market by increasing its exports in recent years. Gürdoğan emphasized that this successful performance is influenced by the region's agricultural potential as well as the promotion of quality products abroad.
Producers in the region continue to produce healthy and delicious honey by utilizing the rich resources offered by the lush nature. The increase in exports provides significant economic benefits to local producers and creates employment. Furthermore, the continuation of these exports contributes to the diversification and strengthening of the regional economy.
In the upcoming period, an increase in honey exports from the Eastern Black Sea is expected. Relevant institutions aim to review export strategies for the region, explore new markets, and strengthen existing ones. Thus, it is intended to support both the national economy and local entrepreneurs.
